Our Story

It all started back in 2012 with two girls (Elizabeth and Naomi) who wanted to make beautiful and unique art pieces and to provide the average home owner with access to the wonder of CNC (computer numerical control) technology. Seeing that CNC equipment was primarily being used for agricultural and industrial cutting, we set forth to create unique decor that would test the limits of this technology. Naomi, an architectural designer and Elizabeth, a business grad, teamed together to start Remnant Steel. What started as a small scale artwork and decor company soon turned into a company that offers a number of product collections created out of metal. In 2015 Elizabeth moved on to exciting opportunities in Texas, and in 2023 Naomi sold the business to Kyle, but the heart of Remnant remains the same. We are design fanatics dedicated to creating unique and functional products for similar art loving souls. The name Remnant is derived from the idea that we are a small part of the whole. In each and every one of our products we strive to create artistic pieces that bring joy and inspires creativity.

We believe that everyone should live and work in spaces that they love and that are in balance with their personality. Our goal is to create pieces that make you pause for a minute in wonder and be content in the here and now. We are for those who want to enliven their home, office or outdoor space with curated objects that are functional but also bring joy!

The Process

Fill us in on your project details using one of the custom order forms on our website. Some of our products can be purchased directly online, but for orders that require customization, we kindly ask that you fill out one of our online order forms so that we can most efficiently help you with your project.

After an order is submitted online we finalize project details with you via phone or email and send you a final proof for approval before we begin production. For custom orders we ask for a 50% deposit prior to completion and then 50% upon proof of completion prior to pickup or delivery.

Everything we make is made to order based on your specific project details. Typical manufacturing time is around 4-6 weeks as we make your artwork or signage to your exact material, font/pattern and finish selection. When your project is complete you can either pickup by appointment at our showroom located at 2543 Dudley Street, Saskatoon or for an additional fee we can deliver your order to you.
